CSLA Poster Sessions

The Poster Presentations will be available throughout the Conference. The location is the registration area at the Pasadena Convention Center.  The live presentations, where you may interact with the presenter, will be held on Saturday, November 12, from 12:45pm to 1:30pm.

AASL has several toolkits and resources that can used to support and help Teacher Librarians implement and promote 21st century skills and the new CA Model School Library standards. See graphics and charts that show the connection between the CA standards, Common Core standards, and AASL’s standards as well as tools that can easily be accessed from AASL’s website.

box Bridges to Leadership – Tier One

The Bridges to Leadership - Tier One Preliminary Administrative Services Credential Program is a CTC-approved alternative, non-university based, credentialing program. Participants learn the what and how of effective leadership and graduate this program with a skill set and knowledge base to ensure successful tenure as an instructional leader. The Bridges Program is available as an online program as well as a traditional face-to-face program available in the Central Valley (Madera). High levels of support and engaging learning opportunities are hallmarks of this award-winning program!

This display will include pictures, narrative text and diagrams.

The Palomar College Library Technology Program was recently recognized by the American Library Association-Allied Professional Association (ALA-APA) as a partner to offer the Library Support Staff Certification. Graduates of Palomar's program may receive Library Support Staff Certification (LSSC) without having to further demonstrate their skills and knowledge.

The CSLA Newsletter is the premiere place to showcase our members' advocacy activities. This poster session captures many of the images and ideas used to promote libraries, literacy, digital literacy and the importance of strong libraries. The session also invites conference attendees to take a handout about the California Campaign's LIBRARY STORE and about how to send the CSLA Newsletter photos and accompanying stories throughout the year.
